Fighting continues west of Bakhmut train station and near the 2nd city hospital. Russian forces control the Bakhmut Industrial College.

In other areas such as Avdiivka and Mar’inka there is fighting, but much more sporadic than in Bakhmut.

Russian oil storage in Sevastopol was hit by a Ukrainian drone attack. Oil Refinery and Depot is used by the Russian Military at Kozacha Bay near the City of Sevastopol in Russian Occupied Crimea.

General Updates:

The US is working closely with Ukrainian forces in developing a counteroffensive plan, including developing methods to catch Russian forces by surprise,” Commander of the US European Command General Christopher Cavoli said.

The Ukrainian army is completing preparations for a counteroffensive,” Oleksiy Reznikov, Minister of Defense of Ukraine said.

The United States is providing Ukraine with another $1.25 billion financial assistance grant, which will be spent on pensions, salaries for doctors and DSNS workers and payments to IDPs.

Ukrainian tankers have already started training on Leopard 1 tanks and 80 of these will begin to be gradually transferred to Ukraine from the middle of 2023.

Denmark has transferred all 19 8×8 CAESAR self-propelled howitzers that it had to Ukraine, they have already been put on combat duty.
