Kursk Oblast Governor Roman Starovoit claimed that a Ukrainian drone struck the Kursk railway station on the night of Aug. 20.

Recent Ukrainian military gains near the Donetsk-Zaporizhzhia border and in western Zaporizhzhia Oblast are likely tactically significant.

Ukrainian troops continued counteroffensive operations in at least three frontline areas and advanced near the village of Robotyne in the western part of the Zaporizhzhia region.

The Russian forces conducted an Iskander ballistic missile attack on an exhibition at the Drama Theater in Chernihiv north east of Kyiv. It was on a Saturday morning with many civilians in the square enjoying a beautiful day.

Kuleba tells allies Ukraine needs long-range weapons, not forecasts. Ukraine isn’t worried about Western pessimism toward its counteroffensive goals, Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said on Aug. 19.

Ukrainian pilots have already started a six-month training session on U.S.-made F-16 fighter jets, Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov said on national television.
