The Ukrainian offensive in the Robotyne sector has progressed, and the first Russian main defence line has been reached. The Russians have built 100-350m long communication trenches, which helps them both reinforce or retreat from the fighting positions.
Ukrainians forces have been trying to advance in the Robotyne area since June. After over two and a half months of fighting, Ukraine has liberated most of Robotyne and continued south, bypassing Novoprokokivka.
The commander of the ground forces of the Armed Forces of the Ukrainian regime called for the strengthening of the defense in the direction of the city of Kupyansk in the Kharkov region.
Russia has concentrated over 100,000 troops in the Kupiansk-Lyman direction of the front, Eastern Force Grouping press officer Illia Yevlash said.
The Investigative Committee of Russia confirmed that the head of Wagner PMC Yevgeny Prigozhin died as a result of a plane crash. Out of 10 persons that were inside, no one survived.
