In the Velyka Novosilka axis Ukrainian forces target the Russians inside Urozhaine. Russia tried to attack Staromaiors’ke from the western part of Urozhaine with aviation support but the attack was repelled.

South of Bakhmut, the 3rd separate assault brigade keeps moving. Sources confirm that Klishchiivka is indeed left by the Russians but they are entrenched east of it. Fighting to clear the remaining dug outs west of the railway is ongoing.

President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Aug. 2 that F-16 training for Ukrainian pilots is to begin this month. The delivery and combat use of F-16s by our pilots should take place as soon as possible, he said.
