Ukrainian defenders repulsed an armored assault on Krynky, Kherson region, by the Russian forces. The bridgehead at Krynky, on the left bank of the Dnipro, is one of the most significant for the Ukrainians. Russian forces are desperate to thwart this advance but have been unsuccessful to date.
In the Battle of Avdiivka, the Ukrainian forces firmly hold the defense and inflict significant losses on the enemy. Russian forces took failed offensive actions near Novokalynove, Avdiivka and east of Pervomays’ke, where Ukrainian defenders repelled almost 2 dozen attacks.
As a result of Russian actions at the 5th power unit, the leakage of reagents from the first circuit to the second continues at the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant, Energoatom reports on their website.
In the Volgograd region in Russia, a fire started on the territory of a military unit after something exploded during the night.

A new meeting of the Contact Group on Defense of Ukraine will take place on November 22. The meeting will be held online and is the 17th meeting in a row. Representatives of roughly 50 countries will attend.
Canada’s foreign ministry agreed to remove sanctions against Russian billionaire businessman Oleg Boyko after he filed a lawsuit, Forbes Russia reported on Nov. 16.
