According to General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Kherson region, Ukrainian forces knocked out the Russian forcres from their positions on the left bank of the Dnipro River and gained a foothold there.

A goal of this Ukrainian operation is to push the Russian forces away from the river and stop them from using mortars and barrel artillery to bombard right bank settlements, in particular the city of Kherson.

In Zaporizhzhya region, the Russian armed forces led unsuccessful assaults in the areas of Robotyne and to the west of Verbove, where Ukrainian defenders repulsed 6 attacks.

In the Avdiivka front the Russian forces conducted offensive actions east of Stepove and near Pervomays’ke which were unsuccessful. They also carried out airstrikes near Mar’yinka, Urozhayne and Staromayors’ke in Donetsk region.

General Updates:

Ukraine and Germany have started the first round of negotiations on bilateral security guarantees, as provided for in the Joint Declaration on Support for Ukraine concluded on July 12, 2023 in Vilnius.

The U.S. Defense Department will send Ukraine spare parts to ensure that the F-16s Ukraine will receive can be properly maintained, the US DoD reported, citing comments made by Pentagon officials.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia sent humanitarian aid to Ukraine. It includes four buses provided by a private donor, which will be deployed in Kharkiv and Zhytomyr.
