Sources within the SBU confirmed that these missiles targeted the premises housing high-ranking SBU officials, indicating a strategic and targeted strike on Ukrainian security forces.

In a retaliatory move, Ukrainian UAVs launched an attack on the Russian Novocherkassk Power Plant (GRES) overnight, resulting in a fire and explosions. This strike further intensifies the conflict, underscoring the volatile nature of the situation on the ground.

Despite resilient Ukrainian defense efforts, Russian forces managed to advance closer to Terny after several unsuccessful raids, underscoring the ongoing challenges faced by Ukrainian forces in repelling Russian aggression. Geolocated footage revealed Russian forward positions mere kilometers from the outskirts of Terny, highlighting the proximity of the conflict to civilian populations.

In broader updates, Moldova’s border guards announced plans to collaborate with Ukrainian authorities to apprehend evaders attempting to escape through the Transnistrian region. Joint border patrols are set to resume, bolstering efforts to secure Ukraine’s borders amidst the crisis.

Meanwhile, discussions between Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba and EU High Representative Josep Borrell centered on strengthening Ukraine’s air defense systems, including the potential deployment of systems like the Patriot missile defense system to enhance Ukraine’s defensive capabilities.

In a show of solidarity, Iceland joined the Czech initiative to support Ukraine by allocating approximately €2 million. This contribution will aid in purchasing essential supplies for the Ukrainian army, including shells, uniforms, bulletproof vests, and medical and hygiene products, highlighting the international community’s commitment to supporting Ukraine in its time of need.

As the conflict continues to escalate, the international community remains on high alert, emphasizing the urgent need for diplomatic solutions to de-escalate tensions and restore peace in the region.
