Kate Middleton Breaks Silence After Omid Scobie’s New Panic Bombshell
Princess Kate Middleton has voiced her deep concerns over an upcoming TV series, Royal Spin, which is being written by Omid Scobie, the author behind the controversial books Finding Freedom and Endgame.
The new series, based on Scobie’s forthcoming book, has raised significant apprehension within the Royal Family, particularly for Kate, who is reportedly “incredibly worried” about its potential impact.
Royal Spin is described as a fictional drama about an American PR advisor who transitions from a high-pressure career in Washington to a communications role at Buckingham Palace.
The series’ premise has alarmed Kate and Prince William due to its apparent similarities to the real-life experiences of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, as depicted in Scobie’s previous works.
An insider shared with Closer UK that the show’s synopsis bears a resemblance to Meghan and Harry’s story, albeit under the guise of fiction.
This similarity has heightened Kate’s anxiety. “Kate is incredibly worried about potential storylines,” the source revealed. “The synopsis of the show mirrors Meghan and Harry’s story while hiding behind the guise of a fictional drama.”
Prince William has reportedly stepped in to offer reassurance to Kate, insisting that the public will see through any exaggerated portrayals. “William has of course assured her that the public will see straight through it just like always,” the insider noted.
Scobie’s most recent book, Endgame, has been particularly controversial. In it, Scobie described Prince Harry as a “threat to the crown” due to his independent thinking and criticized the Royal Family’s reaction to him.
Additionally, the book suggested that Kate had a strained relationship with Meghan, with a source claiming that Kate “spent more time talking about Meghan than talking to her.”
While Kate and William have managed to rise above the claims made in Scobie’s earlier books, the prospect of a TV series reaching a broader audience is causing them fresh concerns.
The source explained, “Ever since Kate and William were told that the show had been bought by Universal, they’ve been caught up in a fresh wave of panic and dread about the impending bombshells and claims.”
The show’s blurb hints at a drama filled with cultural clashes and personal struggles within the Royal Household, further fueling worries that it might touch on sensitive real-life issues.
“It’s presented as fiction, but that doesn’t stop the possibility of some storylines being close to the knuckle and hinting at actual rows,” the insider elaborated. “They know it could still be a brutal exposé.”

In response to these concerns, Prince William has opted not to confront his brother, Prince Harry, about the show.
Fearing that such a discussion could be exploited for the storyline, William has chosen to remain silent on the matter. “William is absolutely seething,” the source added.
Royal Spin, produced by Universal Television, is described as a “fresh take that beautifully blends wit and romance.”
The show’s portrayal of the Royal Family and its potential parallels to real-life events remain a source of unease for Kate and William as they await its release.
As the series progresses towards its debut, Princess Kate’s apprehensions highlight the ongoing tension and scrutiny faced by the Royal Family, showcasing the complex dynamics of their public and private lives.
