Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Face Devastating Setback

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s influence in Hollywood appears to be fading, according to marketing and branding experts.

Stacy Jones, founder of the LA-based agency Hollywood Branded, has shed light on why the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are struggling to maintain their once-bright allure.

Speaking to the Scottish Daily Express, Jones pointed to a challenging couple of years for the royal couple. She explained, “Harry and Meghan’s clout has taken a hit over the past year.” The main issue, she noted, lies in Hollywood’s fundamental operating principle: trust.

“Hollywood operates on trust — trust that a project will deliver, that a partnership will be beneficial, and that public perception will remain positive,” Jones said. Losing that trust, she implied, has been a significant setback for Harry and Meghan.

The couple’s high-profile split from Spotify in 2023 was a pivotal moment that seemed to resonate well into 2024.

According to Jones, “Losing the Spotify deal in 2023 lingered into 2024, and without a major win this year, they’ve struggled to regain their footing.”

Despite these challenges, Jones clarified that the couple still enjoys significant access within Hollywood circles.

“Access isn’t the issue for Harry and Meghan — it’s enthusiasm,” she explained. “They’re not going to struggle to get a table at a top restaurant, and their presence will always generate buzz at events.”

However, she added that the excitement surrounding the Sussexes has noticeably cooled compared to the initial fervor following their move to California.

This diminished enthusiasm raises questions about the couple’s ability to sustain their influence in the highly competitive entertainment world.

Hollywood’s waning interest in the couple isn’t just about failed deals or unmet expectations. It also reflects a shift in how they are perceived within the industry.

“Public perception matters more than ever,” Jones emphasized, hinting that the Sussexes need a strategic pivot to reignite their spark.

While their earlier projects were met with excitement, the lack of recent successes has created skepticism about their long-term viability as Hollywood power players.

The Duke and Duchess now face the challenge of delivering a hit project to regain the industry’s trust and enthusiasm.

Despite these setbacks, Harry and Meghan remain household names, with their appearances at events continuing to make headlines.

However, the weight of unmet expectations lingers, making their next move in Hollywood more critical than ever.

As 2025 approaches, the Sussexes are at a crossroads. Whether they can recapture their Hollywood momentum or find a new path remains to be seen, but the pressure to deliver is undoubtedly mounting.
