Prince William’s Ruthless Plan for Prince Andrew Future in the Royal Family

It seems Prince William is drawing a hard line — and Prince Andrew’s royal future looks bleaker than ever. According to Mirror’s royal editor Russell Myers, the Prince of Wales has no interest in keeping ties with his disgraced uncle and is already making plans to completely sideline him when he becomes King.
Speaking on True Royalty TV’s The Royal Beat, Myers revealed that William’s feelings toward Prince Andrew are icy at best. “William has no time for him,” Myers stated bluntly, adding that when William eventually ascends the throne, Andrew “will be nowhere to be seen around the family.”
The royal insider explained that the tension between the two men isn’t new — and that William had already played a critical role in forcing Andrew to step back from public duties following his scandal involving financier Jeffrey Epstein.
However, things became complicated after Queen Elizabeth II’s death. King Charles, showing a softer stance, reportedly attempted to welcome Andrew back into the family fold.
According to Myers, the future King firmly opposed his father’s move, though King Charles ultimately overruled him. Despite being overruled, William’s stance has remained steadfast, signaling that Andrew’s quiet return to royal events won’t last forever.
Adding more weight to the claims, royal expert Jennie Bond also chimed in, backing the idea that William is prepared to be ruthless when it comes to protecting the monarchy’s image.
“I think his reason is that he is determined to protect the monarchy and show that they do all understand the strength of public animosity towards Andrew,” Bond explained.
And that animosity remains strong, Public outrage toward Prince Andrew has hardly cooled, and the royal family is deeply aware that any move perceived as rehabilitating his image could trigger widespread backlash.
It’s clear that William, known for his modern and pragmatic approach, views a clean break from Andrew as essential to securing the monarchy’s future credibility.

Sources close to the royals say that William’s strategy isn’t about personal vendettas — it’s about safeguarding the institution he will one day lead.
“He understands that public trust is everything,” one insider said. “Bringing Andrew back in any meaningful way would be catastrophic.”
Meanwhile, Prince Andrew has been keeping a relatively low profile, occasionally appearing at family events but largely kept out of the spotlight.
While King Charles has shown signs of wanting a more forgiving approach toward his brother, insiders suggest this is more about personal loyalty than strategic planning — something William reportedly finds short-sighted.
With William and Kate Middleton increasingly stepping into leadership roles, it’s becoming clearer that the next generation of royals will not tolerate lingering scandals that could damage their standing.
And as for Andrew unless something drastically changes, it appears his days of even quietly being part of the royal family’s inner circle are numbered.
When Prince William becomes King, the message will be loud and clear: there’s no place for Prince Andrew in the royal future.
