Bitcoin Predicted to Reach $100,000 by End of 2024, Says Standard Chartered

After a tumultuous year for the cryptocurrency market in 2022, Bitcoin has seen a resurgence in 2023. The world’s largest cryptocurrency has given investors a ray of optimism, and UK banking giant Standard Chartered predicts that the so-called “crypto winter” is over. The bank forecasts that Bitcoin could reach $100,000 by the end of 2024.

Bitcoin is currently trading at $27,374, meaning that the cryptocurrency would need to see a jump of over 250% to hit the predicted $100,000 mark by next year. Despite this significant increase, many investors remain optimistic about the future of Bitcoin.

US-based ARK Investment Management and its CEO, Cathie Wood, had earlier forecasted that Bitcoin will eventually be worth $1.48 million by 2030. Even in the company’s “bear case” scenario, Bitcoin’s value is expected to rise to a record $258,500 by 2030, and in the “base case” scenario, Bitcoin will grow to be worth $682,800.

Despite the market downturn in 2022, ARK Investment Management and its CEO continued to buy crypto and shares of crypto companies. Cathie Wood was especially upbeat about Bitcoin’s chances and had even predicted in 2021 that Bitcoin could hit $500,000 by 2026.

While these predictions may seem lofty, they are not unfounded. Bitcoin has shown incredible growth over the years, and its market capitalization is currently over $500 billion. As more institutional investors and corporations embrace Bitcoin, it’s possible that the cryptocurrency could continue to see significant growth in the coming years.

However, it’s worth noting that investing in cryptocurrency is inherently risky, and investors should do their due diligence before investing in Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency. It’s also important to remember that cryptocurrency markets are notoriously volatile, and it’s impossible to predict with certainty what the future holds for Bitcoin.

In conclusion, while the prediction of Bitcoin reaching $100,000 by the end of 2024 may seem optimistic, it’s not impossible. As the cryptocurrency market continues to evolve and mature, it’s possible that we could see even more significant growth in the future. However, investors should exercise caution and do their research before investing in any cryptocurrency.
