King Harald of Norway Improving From Infection During Malaysian Vacation
King Harald of Norway, who was hospitalized in Malaysia due to an infection while on a private holiday, is reportedly showing signs of improvement, according to a health update from the Norwegian Royal Household.
The 87-year-old monarch fell ill during his stay in Southeast Asia, experiencing complications related to an ongoing respiratory illness.
His physician, who is present in Langkawi, confirmed the positive progress in the King’s health.
The statement released by the Royal Household reassured the public, stating, “His Majesty the King’s physician is in Langkawi and confirms that the King is improving from his infection. His Majesty is well taken care of at the hospital and is receiving good treatment.”
Earlier this month, King Harald had to cancel public engagements and take sick leave due to a respiratory infection. The recent update mentioned that the King will remain in the hospital for a few more days, and no decision has been made regarding his return home.
The Norwegian people, as well as well-wishers worldwide, continue to monitor the health of King Harald and send their thoughts and prayers for his swift recovery.
