Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Warned About Their Kids Archie and Lilibet

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are once again under fire — but this time, it’s not from the public or the palace. Instead, royal experts are warning that the real reckoning may come from inside their own home… years from now.

According to royal commentators Hugo Vickers and Samara Gill, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex may be setting themselves up for future heartbreak — courtesy of their own children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

Speaking to The Sun, the experts painted a grim picture of what’s to come, claiming that the couple’s decision to isolate their children from the wider royal family could eventually backfire.

“I just think there’s gonna be a terrible revenge when those children grow up,” said Hugo Vickers. “I mean, I don’t know about you but I would be very annoyed if I found that I’d been used in all these posts in a strange way by my parents.”

Vickers, a longtime royal historian, wasn’t shy about his feelings. He suggested that when Archie and Lilibet reach an age where they begin to understand their place in the royal family or more accurately, their absence from it may not be so forgiving.

“Equally, they’re also going to grow up at one point and discover that they never knew their grandparents, their grandfathers,” he continued.

This sentiment was echoed by Samara Gill, who confirmed she had recently spoken to Meghan’s estranged father, Thomas Markle. “I spoke to him a couple days ago actually and he’s just absolutely still distraught about the fact that he still doesn’t have contact with Meghan,” she revealed.

The emotional weight of the Markle family feud continues to generate sympathy for Thomas, who raised Meghan largely on his own and supported her ambitions from childhood to Hollywood success. “Mr Markle, of course, he’s a broken man, but he’s a rather sweet man actually and he did a lot for that girl when she was growing up, don’t you think?” added Vickers.

But it’s not just Meghan’s side of the family that’s being left out. According to Vickers, the isolation of the Sussex children from the British royal family — including King Charles and their cousins — is equally concerning.

“They’ll also wake up to realise that they could have been the cousin to Prince George, a future king,” he said. “They could have been over here having a nice time with the other children, their cousins… but they aren’t gonna know them.”

The stark image painted by these royal insiders suggests a future in which Archie and Lilibet may feel lost between two worlds — American celebrity and British royalty — without fully belonging to either.

Meghan and Harry’s decision to leave their royal roles in 2020 and relocate to California was seen by many as a bid for privacy and independence. However, critics argue that the move has come at the cost of crucial family ties particularly for their children, who now grow up thousands of miles away from their royal cousins, grandparents, and heritage.

The Sussexes have released only limited glimpses of their children, carefully curated for the public and press, often through documentaries or social media posts. While this strategy protects their privacy, it has sparked concern about whether Archie and Lilibet are truly being allowed to experience family life or are growing up in a tightly controlled bubble.

The Duke and Duchess have remained largely silent on their strained relationships with both the British royals and Meghan’s father, but Prince Harry’s recent public comments on his lack of security and strained connection with King Charles have made headlines.

In a recent interview, Harry even acknowledged the heartbreaking reality: “I don’t see a world in which I would bring my wife and children back to the UK at this point.”

As Harry and Meghan continue forging their own path in the U.S., experts say they may want to consider how their decisions today will shape the emotional future of their children.

For now, the world watches — and waits — to see whether the bridges burned between families can ever be rebuilt before Archie and Lilibet grow old enough to start asking their own difficult questions.
