King Charles Urged to Take Decisive Action as Prince Harry Renounces British Residency

Britain’s King Charles is facing mounting pressure to take bold and decisive action in response to his younger son Prince Harry’s official renouncement of British residency, listing the US as his primary residence.

Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, has officially renounced his British residency, listing the United States as his primary place of abode. This revelation, as reported by the Daily Mail, has sparked widespread discussion and calls for action within royal circles.

Documents filed by Companies House for ‘Prince Henry Charles Albert David Duke of Sussex’ now reflect his “New Country/State Usually Resident” as the USA, a stark departure from his previous status as a resident of Britain.

This move, while not entirely unexpected given the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s relocation to California, carries profound implications for Prince Harry’s relationship with the British monarchy and his official duties within the institution

Followng this significant development, royal expert Angela Levin has called on King Charles to remove Prince Harry as a “Counsellor of State,” a position that entails standing in for the monarch if necessary.

Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, Levin voiced her concerns, stating, “A document released yesterday on Harry states his home is now America. Surely he can’t demand full-time top brass protection.

Nor interfere with our media. Nor be a Counsellor of State to stand in for the Monarch should it be needed.”

According to the Daily Express UK, the law stipulates that Counsellors of State must have a UK residence, which Prince Harry no longer maintains.

This legal requirement raises questions about his eligibility to continue in this role given his relocation to the US.

As the situation unfolds, there is growing anticipation for King Charles to take decisive action in response to Prince Harry’s relocation and the implications it holds for his official duties and responsibilities within the British monarchy.
