Meghan Markle Shared Cute Pictures of Her Daughter Lilibet and Son Archie as They Celebrate Lilibet 3rd Birthday
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle recently celebrated their daughter Lilibet’s third birthday with a Californian flair, hosting a heartwarming birthday party at their Montecito mansion. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex ensured the celebration was intimate yet filled with joy, creating lasting memories for their young daughter.
People magazine confirmed that the couple hosted a ‘pre-birthday bash’ at their £12 million ($14 million) home over the weekend. The event was described as a gathering of close friends and family, although the specific guest list remains undisclosed. This celebration marks another special moment in Lilibet’s life, following the Christening event held last year.
In the weeks leading up to Lilibet’s birthday, Prince Harry and Meghan shared rare insights into their daughter’s personality during their visit to Nigeria. Meghan revealed that Lilibet’s favorite class at nursery is dancing, likely due to her love for jumping around and being active. This glimpse into Lilibet’s life highlights the couple’s joy in watching their daughter grow and develop her own interests.
This isn’t the first significant event the Sussexes have hosted for Lilibet. In March 2023, they held a Christening ceremony for her at their Montecito residence. The ceremony was officiated by the Archbishop of Los Angeles, Reverend John Taylor, and attended by approximately 20 to 30 guests, including Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, and Lilibet’s godfather, Tyler Perry. The event featured a gospel choir that performed “Oh Happy Day” and “This Little Light of Mine,” songs that were also part of Harry and Meghan’s wedding.
Despite the intimate nature of these celebrations, it was noted that senior members of the British royal family, including the Prince and Princess of Wales and King Charles, were invited but did not attend. However, Harry’s aunts from his mother Princess Diana’s side, Lady Jane Fellowes and Lady Sarah McCorquodale, were present, maintaining the connection with his maternal family.
Lilibet’s first birthday was celebrated at Frogmore Cottage in the UK. The relaxed garden party featured a birthday cake, balloons, party games, and picnic snacks. Notable attendees included Zara and Mike Tindall’s children, Mia, Lena, and Lucas, as well as Savannah and Isla, daughters of Peter Phillips and Autumn Kelly. Archie’s godfather, Charlie Van Straubenzee, and his brother Tom, who is Princess Charlotte’s godfather, were also present. Among the gifts, Lilibet received a pastel pink VW Beetle ride-on car and a swing similar to one bought for Prince George by King Charles.
Photographer Misan Harriman captured sweet moments from the day, including a photograph of Lilibet sitting on the lawn, smiling in the sunshine, and another of Meghan carrying her daughter. The event also featured treats from East London baker Claire Ptak, who made the Sussexes’ wedding cake. For Lilibet’s birthday, Ptak created a peony-covered cake and a three-tier cake flavored with lemon and elderflower but covered in strawberry buttercream.
Royal expert Jennie Bond speculated that Lilibet’s birthday party in the US might have been a star-studded affair, potentially including celebrities and other toddlers. She also suggested that the celebration might have featured a video call with Lilibet’s grandfather, King Charles, and a special gift delivered to Montecito.

The third birthday party for Princess Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor was a blend of close-knit family time and celebration, reflective of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s dedication to providing a nurturing and joyous environment for their children. As they continue to build their lives in California, these moments serve as milestones in their journey, filled with love, resilience, and family unity.
