King Charles Sets Record Straight Amid Meghan Markle’s Brand Rivalry Claims
King Charles has addressed speculations surrounding his daughter-in-law Meghan Markle’s recent venture into the lifestyle brand American Riviera Orchard, amid comparisons to his own organic jam sales through The Highgrove Shop.
The Duchess of Sussex made headlines with her return to Instagram and the soft launch of products including strawberry jam, raspberry jam, and dog biscuits under her brand, sparking discussions of a potential rivalry.
Royal commentator Angela Levin debunked notions of intentional competition, stating, “Meghan is very upset about her jam jars.
King Charles brought out jam from his place and she supposedly felt he was taking it away from her. I don’t think he would dream to do that, to take it away from her. It’s not in his nature.”
Speaking to GB News, Levin emphasized King Charles’s character, adding, “His Majesty doesn’t have a mobile and you can’t just get through to him. You have to go through aides and when he’s in a particularly bad mood, you can’t even do that.”

Addressing a reported desire for a discussion between Meghan and the King, Levin expressed skepticism, stating, “I don’t believe that bit.”
The situation underscores the complexities within the royal family amid individual pursuits and public scrutiny.
While Meghan Markle continues to expand her brand, King Charles remains focused on his longstanding commitments, including environmental advocacy and charitable initiatives through The Highgrove Shop.
As discussions persist, the royal family navigates dynamics where personal ventures intersect with longstanding traditions, highlighting the delicate balance between individual pursuits and collective respect within the monarchy.
