Jennifer Lopez Sends Nikki Glaser a Gift for Defending Her from Online Critics

Jennifer Lopez is no stranger to public scrutiny, and with her recent high-profile divorce from Ben Affleck, the criticism has only intensified.

However, the pop icon and actress has shown her gratitude to those who defend her in the public eye, with one such person being comedian Nikki Glaser.

After Glaser publicly supported Lopez during a wave of online negativity, the “On The Floor” singer responded with a heartfelt gesture—a care package filled with JLo Beauty skincare products and a personal note of appreciation.

The gift arrived shortly after Glaser’s June 14th interview on the “Zach Sang Show,” in which she candidly discussed her evolving feelings toward Lopez.

Glaser admitted that, like many others, she had previously held negative assumptions about the singer, calling her “phony” and attributing her stance to jealousy of Lopez’s immense talent and success.

However, after watching Lopez’s documentary, The Greatest Love Story Never Told, and her This Is Me… Now project, Glaser found herself with a newfound respect for the star.

“I used to think she was fake, but that documentary completely changed my mind,” Glaser explained during the interview.

“I went from being someone who was skeptical of her to someone who absolutely loves her.

I’ve become obsessed with her, especially since all that speculation about her relationship with Affleck following her solo appearance at the Met Gala.”

During the interview, Glaser shared that her boyfriend had sent her the news that Lopez had canceled her upcoming tour because he knew how invested she had become in following Lopez’s career and personal life.

“It’s so funny. My boyfriend sent me a news article saying J. Lo’s tour was canceled because he knew how much of a J.Lo fan I had suddenly become — literally overnight,” Glaser said, highlighting how her perception of Lopez had shifted almost instantly after watching her performances and interviews.

But what really touched Lopez was Glaser’s decision to remove a joke about the singer from her most recent comedy special, Someday You’ll Die.

The comedian had originally planned to include a section criticizing Lopez’s skincare line, joking that Lopez’s own beauty would prevent her from selling anything trustworthy.

Glaser explained that the joke had felt “mean for no reason” after she grew more appreciative of Lopez’s career and personality. The decision to cut the joke was significant for Glaser, and it didn’t go unnoticed by Lopez.

Just a month after the interview, Glaser took to TikTok on July 18 to share her surprise at receiving a package from none other than Jennifer Lopez herself.

The package contained JLo Beauty skincare products and a personal note from the singer.

In the TikTok video, Glaser gushed over the gift, saying, “Maybe someone knows that I love her and sent this to me. And someone does. And it’s J. Lo.”

The note accompanying the skincare package read, “I heard your interview. I know it’s easy to go along with the crowd and I appreciate you speaking your truth. I respect your strength and humor. Here’s a little something for your feet.”

Glaser, known for her self-deprecating humor, jokingly added, “She knows I have bunions, too probably.”

But beyond the humor, Glaser was clearly moved by Lopez’s gesture, admitting in the video, “I will love you forever, and not just because of this.

This is just like a testament to how cool you are. I love you. You’re awesome. Thank you so much.”

For Lopez, the gesture likely comes at a time when support means more than ever.

The 55-year-old singer has been in the headlines following her divorce from Ben Affleck in August 2024, just two years after their highly publicized wedding in Georgia.

While they had rekindled their romance in 2021 after initially dating in the early 2000s, their marriage ultimately ended, with Lopez citing irreconcilable differences in court documents obtained by E! News.

According to those documents, Lopez filed for divorce on the couple’s second wedding anniversary, August 20, 2024, though their separation date was listed as April 26 of the same year.

Despite the divorce, Lopez and Affleck have been seen together in public, attempting to maintain a united front for their blended family.

In mid-September, they were spotted at the Beverly Hills Hotel for a family lunch with their children, including Lopez’s 16-year-old twins Max and Emme, whom she shares with ex-husband Marc Anthony, and Affleck’s children from his previous marriage to Jennifer Garner, Seraphina (15) and Samuel (12).

Their eldest child, Violet (18), is currently away at college.

Lopez’s decision to send Glaser a care package reveals her appreciation for loyalty and kindness during challenging times.

While she continues to focus on her career and family in the midst of her personal struggles, the connection with supporters like Glaser reminds her—and the world—that even under the pressure of fame, a simple act of gratitude can make all the difference.
