Billy Ray Cyrus is reportedly heartbroken over his estrangement from daughter Miley Cyrus, as she continues to shut him out of her life following his bitter divorce from her mother, Tish Cyrus.
The country singer, 63, is said to be “completely depressed” over the situation, fearing that their relationship may be damaged beyond repair.
An insider told In Touch that Billy has been trying relentlessly to mend things with Miley, but she has remained distant.
“It’s pretty heartbreaking for Billy Ray because Miley has totally cut him off and has even been talking about what a great year she had in 2024, as though this feud with her dad didn’t even upset her,” the source revealed.
The rift between the father-daughter duo reportedly began when Miley sided with Tish during the messy divorce, and since then, she has had little to no contact with Billy. Despite his efforts to reconnect, the Flowers singer has been unresponsive.
“He calls her all the time and sends her messages, but she completely ignores him. She won’t pick up his calls, but he keeps trying,” the source added.
Billy has even turned to Miley’s siblings, Noah and Braison, in hopes they can convince her to speak to him. “He’s begged them to work on her on his behalf, but nothing has changed,” the insider claimed.
The situation became painfully obvious when Miley won her first-ever Grammy in 2024. During her acceptance speech, she thanked her mother and sister but pointedly left out her father—a move that did not go unnoticed by fans or Billy himself.

As the feud drags on, Billy is said to be willing to do whatever it takes to repair the damage. “All he wants this year is to get Miley back in his life,” the source revealed. “He truly can’t believe that it’s come to this.”
The country star is reportedly so desperate that he has even reached out to Tish, despite their ongoing tension. “Tish isn’t speaking to him either, but he’s been asking her to intervene,” the source added.
“It’s humiliating for him because he’s had to admit all his mistakes, but he says he’s ready to take full responsibility.”
Billy’s emotional turmoil is taking a toll on him, as he fears the longer Miley stays distant, the harder it will be to ever mend their relationship.
“He’ll go to hell and back if it means fixing things with Miley. That’s all that matters to him,” the source concluded.
