Prince Harry is reportedly grappling with deep emotional turmoil as concerns grow over King Charles’ cancer battle — and insiders claim he’s desperate to heal their fractured relationship before it’s too late.
According to a new report from Heat magazine, the Duke of Sussex has been left “beside himself” after learning his father was recently hospitalized amid ongoing treatment.
Although the royal household has downplayed the seriousness of the situation, sources close to Harry reveal that the California-based royal is quietly spiraling over his father’s declining health.
“Knowing his dad was so bad he had to be hospitalised is incredibly worrying for Harry,” an insider said, adding, “He’s panicking that things will take a turn for the worse before they can make peace.”
The 39-year-old prince’s relationship with the monarchy has been strained for years, particularly after he and Meghan Markle stepped down from royal duties in 2020 and relocated to the U.S.
The situation only worsened following their explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey, the release of their controversial Netflix docuseries Harry & Meghan, and the shocking revelations in Harry’s memoir Spare.
Yet despite the turmoil, the insider claims Harry still holds deep affection for his father. “No matter what has happened in the past, he still loves his father,” they explained. “Seeing him struggling and being thousands of miles away and not able to help is breaking his heart.”
Harry’s last visit to the UK came in February 2024, shortly after the Palace confirmed King Charles’ cancer diagnosis. During that brief trip, he met with his father at Clarence House — a private meeting reportedly attended by Queen Camilla. Although the moment was short, it was seen as a possible olive branch during a period of emotional vulnerability.
