WhatsApp, the renowned instant messaging company, is following in the footsteps of its parent company, Facebook, by incorporating stickers into its platform. Currently, this feature is being tested in the beta version of iOS, hinting at its imminent arrival on WhatsApp.

What sets this sticker tool apart is its built-in functionality within the app itself. The latest iOS version, 23.10.0.74, empowers users to create their own stickers directly within WhatsApp. A screenshot shared by Web Beta Info, a website known for providing WhatsApp updates, showcases the presence of a “New Sticker” option conveniently located at the bottom of the interface.

In the forthcoming iOS 16 API from Apple, users will likely gain the ability to transform any copied image into a sticker. This anticipated enhancement will enable users to create customized WhatsApp stickers, potentially granting them the ability to modify these stickers as well.

Industry analysts anticipate that WhatsApp will soon introduce this feature for Android devices, although an exact date remains elusive at present. Likewise, the rollout of this update to the desktop version may span a matter of weeks or even months before users can expect to enjoy the new sticker functionality.
