Buckingham Palace Delivers a Fresh Bombshell as Prince Harry Makes His Way to the UK

As Prince Harry prepares to return to the UK for the upcoming Invictus Games event, Buckingham Palace has dropped a bombshell announcement regarding significant changes to charity patronages under King Charles III’s reign.

In a major move, King Charles, Queen Camilla, and other senior royals have decided to relinquish patronages of nearly 200 charities and organizations following a thorough review of their associations with over 1,000 groups.

The news was shared on the royal family’s social media accounts just days before Prince Harry’s potential meeting with his father.

The statement highlighted that the decision to review patronages came after King Charles’s accession in September 2022, with the results set to be communicated to relevant organizations in the coming week to mark the first anniversary of Their Majesties’ Coronation.

“The King and Queen and other members of the Royal Family lend their names and much of their time to many different charities and organizations.

Currently, over 1,000 organizations have a member of the Royal Family as their patron or president,” the statement read.

The announcement sparked significant reactions from royal fans and followers, with many expressing their support for the monarchy’s commitment to charity work.

Following the review, just over 830 patronages have been retained by King Charles and Queen Camilla or passed on to other members of the royal family.

Among the organizations retaining their royal connections are the Royal British Legion, the Dogs Trust, the Jockey Club, and the Wildlife Trusts.

The reassessment of charity patronages reflects the evolving priorities and commitments of the royal family under King Charles’s reign.

While some organizations will see changes in their royal affiliations, the monarchy’s dedication to charitable endeavors remains steadfast, with a continued focus on supporting causes that align with their values and objectives.
