Meghan Markle’s Alleged Ban on Prince Harry Meeting David Beckham Sparks Controversy
Meghan Markle has reportedly been accused of triggering a rift between Prince Harry and David Beckham by forbidding her husband from being photographed with the former football star at the 2018 Invictus Games.
In a new biography titled “House of Beckham” by royal author Tom Bower, the details of the strained relationship between the Sussexes and the Beckhams have been laid bare.
Initially close friends, their friendship allegedly soured after Meghan purportedly accused Victoria Beckham of leaking stories to the press.
According to Bower’s account, Prince Harry invited David Beckham to the Invictus Games in Sydney, but Beckham found himself isolated at the event due to Meghan’s instructions.
“Beckham found himself alone at the Invictus Games stadium,” Bower wrote. “Arriving on the agreed day to meet Prince Harry, he was perplexed why officials were keeping him away from Harry.”
It was later revealed that Prince Harry had allegedly issued strict orders to ensure that he was not photographed alongside David Beckham.
Bower describes this exclusion as a “brutal royal snub,” suggesting that Beckham was left confused and hurt by the incident.

“The exclusion order, it later transpired, was issued by Meghan,” Bower alleged in his biography. “She did not want any competition in the media from Beckham, and especially not from his wife Victoria.”
This purported incident marks a significant turn in the relationship between the Sussexes and the Beckhams, once characterized by camaraderie and shared public appearances.
Following this alleged rift, David Beckham reportedly sought new alliances, distancing himself from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
The biography sheds light on the complexities of royal friendships and the pressures faced by high-profile couples navigating public scrutiny and media attention.
