The famous TV personality and author has set up a GoFundMe fundraiser in support of Meghan’s estranged father, Thomas Markle, who recently celebrated his 80th birthday.
Lady Colin Campbell, known for her outspoken views on the British royal family, surprised many by initiating a fundraiser for Thomas Markle just four days after his milestone birthday.

However, Lady Colin Campbell did not shy away from taking a few digs at Meghan, adding, “His kindness and generosity are well known in the film community, and I agree that now that he has been rejected and abandoned by the daughter. Those of us who wish to show him solidarity and give him the acknowledgment he should be getting from the actual recipient of his largesse, will hopefully, through our contributions, no matter how small, demonstrate to him that there are still people in the world with good hearts, good values, and good intentions.”
Since its inception, the fundraiser has raised over £3,300, a testament to the support Thomas Markle has garnered from the public. Despite the financial aid, the emotional gap remains significant.
On his birthday, Thomas expressed his feelings to the Daily Mail, stating, “I’ve had a good life and I am proud of what I’ve accomplished, but everything has been overshadowed by what has happened in the last six years. I’ve never been one for birthdays, but I know the one person I most want to hear from, Meghan, won’t be in touch.”
