Angelina Jolie has leveled serious accusations against Brad Pitt, alleging that he is attempting to silence her through a controversial non-disclosure agreement (NDA).
In a court document filed on July 25, 2024, Jolie’s legal team asserts that Pitt, 60, is pressuring her to sign an NDA designed to suppress claims of abuse.
According to the court filing, obtained by People, Jolie’s attorneys argue that the NDA would effectively cover up allegations of abuse against Pitt. This document follows Pitt’s order to provide details regarding the NDA’s terms.
Pitt’s legal team, however, has pushed back against this request. They describe Jolie’s motion as “wide-ranging and intrusive,” reflecting their contention that the demand goes beyond reasonable bounds.
Page Six reported these details, indicating a growing legal rift between the former spouses.
The dispute stems from the couple’s shared ownership of the French winery Château Miraval. Jolie and Pitt, who were married from 2014 to 2019 and have six children together, have been embroiled in a legal battle over the sale of Jolie’s stake in the winery.

Pitt sued Jolie in 2022, alleging that she breached their agreement by selling her share without his approval.
In the most recent court documents, Jolie’s team emphasizes that her decision to sell her stake in Miraval in 2021 was not intended to harm Pitt or retaliate against him following any custody rulings.
Instead, Jolie’s attorneys argue that Pitt’s refusal to buy her stake unless she signed the newly expanded NDA—accompanied by an $8.5 million financial holdback—was an attempt to silence her regarding his alleged abuse.
