Meghan Markle’s Pattern of Independence Could Lead to Split from Prince Harry

Meghan Markle’s recent professional separation from Prince Harry has reignited rumors of an impending split, with royal author Hugo Vickers suggesting that the Duchess of Sussex may leave her husband when she feels the time is right.

According to Vickers, Meghan’s past behavior and her pattern of independence could indicate that Harry may one day find himself “left behind.”

In a recent interview with The Sun, Vickers argued that Meghan has a history of moving on from relationships or situations that no longer serve her needs.

“I think inevitably, probably Prince Harry,” Vickers said when asked who might be next for her to leave behind. He added, “There’ll come a time when she’ll think that she doesn’t need him.”

The royal expert further elaborated on Meghan’s role in Harry’s life, noting that she seemed to understand and even amplify Harry’s discomfort with the royal family, encouraging him to take bold actions like their 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey.

According to Vickers, the couple’s decision to open up about royal struggles in such a public forum would not have happened if not for Meghan’s influence.

“She detected that he was uncomfortable about certain things, and in a way, she exploited that and fed on it,” he explained, “to the point that he definitely went willingly.”

Vickers speculates that if the relationship were to end, Harry might ultimately be depicted as the one “in the wrong,” while Meghan could claim he “behaved like all the others” she had left behind.

This narrative, according to Vickers, could place the blame on Harry, casting him as part of a familiar pattern in Meghan’s life.

The royal author’s comments come amid a period of professional separation between Harry and Meghan, as each pursues independent projects.

Harry has been focusing on his work in mental health and veteran support, while Meghan has attended solo events in the U.S., including those in fashion and social circles.

PR experts like Ed Coram James have previously suggested that the separate appearances may be a strategic rebranding move to help each cultivate a unique identity, but Vickers sees it as a potential red flag for the future of their relationship.

While fans of the couple remain hopeful for their union, Vickers’s observations about Meghan’s independence have added a new layer to ongoing speculation.

As the Sussexes continue to carve out individual public personas, questions linger about whether their separation is purely professional or indicative of deeper rifts.

For now, both Harry and Meghan seem focused on their respective passions. However, Vickers’s claims suggest that if Meghan’s past patterns hold true, Harry may eventually find himself navigating life independently.
