King Charles Hit with Another Devastating Blow Amid Cancer Battle
King Charles has suffered a major setback as one of the Royal Family’s most trusted suppliers, Partridges, has announced the closure of its flagship store in Chelsea after 53 years.
The beloved grocery store, known for supplying high-quality food to the royal household, has been a staple in Chelsea for decades. Its unexpected closure has left many, including the King, disheartened.
According to GB News, Partridges will still operate its Gloucester Road store and has plans to open a new location in 2025. However, the loss of its Chelsea shop marks the end of an era.
Partridges’ co-founder, John Shepherd, expressed his sadness over the closure, saying, “We are very sad to be leaving Chelsea after an incredible 53 years serving local residents.”
Despite this disappointment, Shepherd remains optimistic about the future, revealing plans to focus on smaller and more sustainable store formats across London.
He reassured loyal customers, stating, “We hope that this is not goodbye and that many of our current customers will venture over to Gloucester Road to visit us there.”
The closure of Partridges comes at a difficult time for King Charles, who is still undergoing treatment for cancer.
Earlier this week, it was revealed that the monarch will have to continue treatment into 2025—almost a year after his diagnosis was made public.

A source from Buckingham Palace confirmed to Sky News that while the King’s treatment has been moving in a positive direction, it remains an ongoing medical battle.
“As a managed condition, the treatment cycle will continue into next year,” the statement read, leaving many royal supporters concerned about the King’s health.
The combination of his personal health struggles and the loss of a long-standing royal supplier has added to what has already been a challenging year for Charles.
While the King remains committed to his royal duties, insiders believe he is feeling the weight of these setbacks.
With his treatment ongoing and changes within royal traditions, 2025 is shaping up to be a year of uncertainty for King Charles.
As the monarchy faces yet another transition, the question remains—how much more can King Charles endure?
