Thomas Markle Claims Meghan Markle Urged Him to Cut Ties with Siblings Also Sends Plea to King Charles
Thomas Markle, father of Meghan Markle, has made startling revelations about his relationship with his daughter while expressing gratitude to King Charles and sharing his plans to relocate from Mexico.
In an interview with GB News, Thomas opened up about his estrangement from Meghan, his feelings toward his other children, and his hopes for reconciliation.
Thomas claimed that Meghan once urged him to sever ties with his other children, Tom Jr. and Samantha Markle, from his first marriage.
“Meghan once told me she wanted me to stop talking to Tom Jr. and Samantha,” he shared. “But what parent could ever agree to that?”
Despite their strained relationship, Thomas emphasized his enduring love for his daughter, stating, “There were good times. She was a good girl. I don’t like some of the things my daughter has done, but I will always love her.”
Thomas expressed gratitude to King Charles for stepping in to walk Meghan down the aisle during her 2018 wedding to Prince Harry at Windsor Castle.
“I’m a grandfather, and he is King of England, but he too is a grandfather who would like to see his grandkids,” Thomas noted, referring to his estranged relationship with Meghan’s children, Archie and Lilibet.

He further added, “Every day, I see something about Meghan. This week, it has been the new TV show. My dream is that one day I could bring my whole family together, like a ‘normal’ family.”
After spending a decade in Mexico, Thomas revealed plans to move, possibly to Southeast Asia, where he hopes to find “peace” and spend time with his son, Thomas Jr.
He expressed appreciation for the kindness of the British people, stating, “The British people have been so kind to me. I’d like to thank them for their support and kindness. I will always have a soft spot in my heart for the kind people of the UK.”
Thomas’s comments came as Meghan Markle announced her latest Netflix series, With Love, Meghan, which is set to premiere on January 15. The series marks Meghan’s return to the spotlight after her social media comeback earlier this year.
While Thomas’s revelations have stirred controversy, they highlight the ongoing tensions within the Markle family and the complex dynamics at play.
Whether his heartfelt plea to King Charles or his hopes for reconciliation will lead to healing remains to be seen.
