But Meghan was not the only royal facing harsh words this week. Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, also came under fire shortly after she shared a summer-themed video on Instagram.
What was expected to be a gentle and inspiring post about nature turned into a battleground, as Meghan’s supporters seized the moment to retaliate.
Some critics accused Kate of copying Meghan’s style of inspirational messaging. One wrote bluntly, “She never did this stuff until Meghan.”
Others dismissed the video as unnecessary and mocked its production, claiming it felt forced rather than authentic. For some, the entire effort was branded “pointless.”

In her narration, Kate said, “Summer is the season for abundance. Just as the flowers bloom and the fruits ripen, we too are reminded of our own potential for growth.”
She continued, “It is the time to ignite our inner fire and explore our own creativity, passions and dreams.” Her words, however, were overshadowed by the online drama.
The tit-for-tat exchange between Meghan and Kate supporters highlights how divided royal watchers remain, even as both women try to shape their public roles in different ways.
For Meghan, Netflix provides the platform to tell her story, while Kate continues to use her royal profile to inspire through themed campaigns and public messages.
