Meghan Markle’s Former Staff Break Silence On Abuse Fears And Alleged Revenge Plot

Shocking new claims have emerged about Meghan Markle’s time as a working royal, with a royal expert revealing that her former staff stayed silent for years because they feared her alleged appetite for revenge.
Valentine Low, a respected royal correspondent for The Times for more than a decade, has now shed light on why several ex-employees only spoke out after leaving her service. Appearing on the Kinsley Schofield’s Unfiltered podcast, Low claimed that Meghan’s former aides felt too intimidated to share their experiences while still under her influence.
Low, who authored the explosive book Courtiers The Hidden Power Behind the Crown, suggested that the staff who worked closely with the Duchess of Sussex were left “psychologically fragile” after enduring what they described as a highly challenging work environment.
According to Low, these individuals feared that Meghan would retaliate if they spoke out while still connected to her or the royal household. This fear of revenge reportedly kept them silent until they felt safe enough to share their accounts anonymously.
The royal expert did not hold back when asked about the couple’s working style, stating bluntly that if Meghan and Prince Harry were difficult to work with during their royal duties, “they are difficult to work with now.”
Low believes that this lingering fear explains why damaging claims about Meghan’s treatment of staff only emerged after she and Harry stepped back from their royal roles in 2020 and moved to California.
However, Meghan’s camp quickly hit back at Low’s comments. A spokesperson for the Duchess dismissed the allegations entirely, accusing Low of recycling “false, offensive, and long-discredited” stories to sell books and regain relevance.
The statement went further, condemning what they called “harmful gossip” disguised as journalism and insisting that Meghan has been the target of “unfounded attacks” for years. Her representatives stressed that the Duchess remains focused on her family and professional commitments rather than media speculation.

Low’s 2022 book caused a stir when it included testimonies from former palace staff who accused Meghan of verbal abuse and emotional pressure. Some claimed they were “broken” by her alleged tirades, describing the work environment as highly stressful and damaging to their mental health.
In his podcast appearance, Low pointed out that despite the severity of these claims, there has been no legal action taken against him since the book’s release. He implied that the absence of lawsuits could indicate there is merit to the allegations.
He also revealed that before the book was published, Meghan and Harry’s legal team sent him a strongly worded letter warning him to “watch out.” Interestingly, Low claims that once the book was out, there was no further communication from the Sussexes’ lawyers.
Meghan and Harry’s time as working royals was brief but eventful. After marrying in 2018, the couple quickly became two of the most high-profile members of the royal family. However, tensions behind the scenes eventually led to their dramatic decision to step down from official duties in 2020.
They now live in Montecito, California, with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, and have pursued media and philanthropic ventures away from the constraints of royal life.
Still, as these latest claims prove, Meghan’s time inside the royal household continues to generate headlines and fuel debate over her relationships with those who once worked closest to her.
