Prince William Shares Significant Update as Kate Middleton Misses Major Event

Today, Prince William attended the prestigious Garter Day service at Windsor Castle without his wife, Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales.

The event, steeped in tradition, was graced by King Charles, Queen Camilla, and other members of the royal family, marking the commencement of a busy royal summer season.

In a heartfelt message shared on social media, Prince William reflected on the significance of the Order of the Garter, which has honored public service across diverse backgrounds for over six centuries.

He expressed gratitude to Lady Companion of the Garter Baroness Amos for her insights into this timeless tradition.

“Garter Day is an annual service that celebrates new appointments to the senior and oldest British Order of Chivalry,” Prince William stated.

Following the service, the royal family returned to Windsor Castle in a carriage procession, maintaining the regal splendor associated with such ceremonial occasions.

Notably absent from both the Garter Day service and Trooping the Colour was Prince Andrew.

Meanwhile, King Charles appointed Baroness Manningham-Buller as the Chancellor of the Order of the Garter and The Lord Ashton of Hyde as the Master of the Horse this year, further enriching the historical lineage of the order.

The absence of Kate Middleton from Garter Day underscores her current priorities, possibly related to ongoing personal commitments or health considerations, reaffirming the dynamic nature of royal engagements.

As summer unfolds, the British royal family continues to uphold traditions while embracing new appointments, marking yet another chapter in their enduring legacy of service and honor.
