Meghan Markle’s Sister Samantha Markle Sues Her for £60K Over Defamation Claim

Samantha Markle, the half-sister of Meghan Markle, has reignited her legal battle against the Duchess of Sussex with a new defamation lawsuit seeking £60,000.

The 59-year-old, who shares the same father as Meghan, alleges that her estranged sibling has subjected her to considerable emotional and public distress.

In newly acquired court documents reviewed by The Sun, Samantha Markle asserts that Meghan Markle’s claims about their relationship have caused her substantial harm.

Samantha contends that Meghan’s statements were made with intent and knowledge, exacerbating the damage done.

“Meghan knew what she was doing, and how to do it,” Samantha states in the legal filings.According to Samantha’s lawyers, Meghan has “destroyed Samantha publicly and on a global scale.”

They argue that the Duchess’s remarks have made it nearly impossible for Samantha to carry out everyday activities without facing harassment.

“She has made it so Samantha cannot work, or even enjoy the most mundane of activities, like going to the grocery store without harassment,” the legal team asserts.

This legal action follows a prior ruling by Judge Charlene Edwards Honeywell, who had determined in March that Samantha Markle was unable to provide sufficient evidence to substantiate her initial defamation claim.

Despite this, Samantha is pressing forward with her new lawsuit, alleging that Meghan’s comments have inflicted “relentless torment online” and severely damaged her personal and professional reputation.

The lawsuit highlights ongoing tensions between the Markle sisters and underscores the public and legal scrutiny that has characterized their strained relationship.
