Meghan Markle Hit with Bombshell Revelation Right Before Launch of Major Project

Meghan Markle’s highly anticipated Netflix series With Love, Meghan is already facing sharp criticism, with royal experts ridiculing its teaser as uninspiring and lackluster.
Royal journalist and author Robert Jobson didn’t hold back in his assessment, calling the show’s preview “a little dull” and comparing it to a supermarket commercial. Speaking on The Sun’s Royal Exclusive show, Jobson remarked, “I mean, it’s just like an advert for Waitrose or something. It doesn’t do anything for me.”
His comments have added fuel to the ongoing debate about whether Meghan’s latest project will be a hit or another flop in her post-royal career.
Jobson acknowledged that while many people seem to be rooting for her failure, it would actually be “a good story if it was a success.” However, he admitted he wasn’t feeling particularly “inspired” by what he saw in the teaser.
He further criticized the lack of excitement surrounding the series, saying, “It’s not exactly going to be something I’m going to be wanting to tune into, unless it was a professional thing to do. It’s just a little dull.”
This marks a stark contrast to Meghan and Harry’s previous Netflix projects, particularly their Harry & Meghan docuseries, which pulled in significant viewership numbers despite being mired in controversy.
Jobson noted that their past content, including royal-bashing books and tell-all documentaries, at least generated buzz, even if they were polarizing.
Now, however, the couple appears to be taking a different approach, focusing on positivity rather than controversy.

But according to Jobson, the new direction isn’t exactly working. “Now they’re trying to do something, I suppose, that they tell us is all positive, and it just doesn’t seem particularly inspiring to me,” he remarked.
The criticism raises questions about Meghan’s ability to captivate audiences outside the realm of royal drama. While her personal brand has been built on breaking away from the monarchy and telling her side of the story, With Love, Meghan aims to position her in a more lifestyle-focused, aspirational light.
The show, which is set to premiere on Netflix on March 4, 2025, is designed to showcase Meghan’s passion for food, wellness, and community-building.
However, early reactions suggest that audiences may not be as eager to embrace this new version of her public persona.
Netflix has invested heavily in the Sussexes, but the pressure is mounting for them to deliver content that resonates beyond their existing fanbase. With previous deals, including Meghan’s Pearl animated series, getting scrapped, the stakes for With Love, Meghan are higher than ever.
Whether the series will defy expectations and prove the skeptics wrong remains to be seen. But if early reactions are any indication, Meghan may be facing an uphill battle in convincing audiences that her latest venture is worth watching.
