Prince Harry Silently Cheers as Prince William and Kate Middleton Win Major Legal Battle
Prince Harry may not often see eye to eye with his brother Prince William these days, but insiders believe the Harry quietly supports the Prince and Princess of Wales’ latest legal triumph against media intrusion.
According to reports, Prince Harry approves of William and Kate Middleton’s victory in their privacy case against the French publication Paris Match. The royal couple recently won damages after the magazine published unauthorized photographs of them and their children during a private family holiday in the Alps.
A notice printed in Paris Match confirmed that legal proceedings were launched in April after the magazine ran the intrusive images, which were taken by paparazzi without the couple’s consent. The ruling reinforces William and Kate’s firm stance on protecting their children’s privacy.
A Kensington Palace spokesperson said, “The Prince and Princess of Wales are committed to protecting their private family time and ensuring that their children can grow up without undue scrutiny and interference.”
The couple, who share Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, have long emphasized their desire to give their children as normal an upbringing as possible, away from the relentless attention of the press.
Prince William, who was just fifteen when his mother Princess Diana tragically died while fleeing paparazzi in Paris, has remained deeply wary of the media’s intrusion into royal life. The trauma of that loss continues to shape his relationship with the press today.
William has previously settled his own phone-hacking case against Rupert Murdoch’s News Group Newspapers in private, underscoring how sensitive the issue remains for him and his family.
Sources close to Harry suggest that he understands his brother’s position more than anyone. The Duke of Sussex has waged his own high-profile legal battles against the British tabloid press, accusing them of years of unlawful information gathering and intrusion.
Harry and other public figures, including Sir Elton John, are currently suing Associated Newspapers, the publisher of the Daily Mail, over alleged privacy breaches dating back decades.

In fact, new evidence presented in the High Court earlier this month revealed that William and Kate were also targets of similar surveillance, further proving how deeply the issue affects the entire royal family.
Despite the brothers’ strained relationship, those close to the situation believe this latest development might mark one of the few issues where Harry and William see eye to eye. Both men have experienced how destructive press intrusion can be and both are now fighting to ensure their families are protected from it.
During Harry’s last visit to the UK, he reportedly held a private meeting with King Charles at Clarence House to discuss reconciliation efforts. However, reports suggested Prince William was not pleased with the King’s decision to meet Harry so soon after the release of his explosive memoir Spare and his controversial interviews.
Still, palace insiders believe that beneath the tension, the shared pain of media harassment could serve as a bridge between the estranged brothers. Both have shown determination to reclaim control over their private lives and defend their families against invasive press coverage.
While there has been no official statement from Harry regarding William and Kate’s victory, royal watchers say the Duke would undoubtedly applaud any move that holds the media accountable for crossing ethical lines.
In many ways, the legal triumph of the Prince and Princess of Wales also echoes Harry’s own battle for justice. It shows that despite the rift that divides them, the two brothers remain united on one front, protecting their families from the same dangers that once cost them their mother.
