Kensington and Buckingham Palace Receive Sweet Advice Regarding Kate Middleton Amid Circulating Theories
Kensington Palace and Buckingham Palace have recently received advice regarding the handling of rumors and speculation surrounding Kate Middleton’s absence from the public eye as she focuses on her health.
PR expert Nick Ede provided this advice a day after Kate Middleton released a letter to the Irish Guards.
In an interview with Newsweek, Nick Ede highlighted the dilemma faced by the royal family and their communications team amidst the resurgence of rumors about Kate Middleton’s health.
“The return of rumors about Kate creates a huge dilemma for the royal family and their comms team,” said Ede.
“On the one hand, they have a duty to inform the public and quash rumors that could be damaging and create negative noise.”
Ede further elaborated, stating, “They could make another announcement, but I don’t think it’ll stop speculation.
On the other hand, they remain quiet and dignified and take the Queen’s stance, ‘never complain, never explain.’ It’s pretty obvious that things are not good, and when it’s someone’s health, it’s private and personal.”
Offering advice for the palace and royal family, Ede recommended providing brief updates to inform the media and the public, acknowledging that the timeline may change and offering a small update.
“This way, it stops crazy conspiracy theories and speculation in its tracks but doesn’t expose the royal family and the princess at this time,” explained Ede.
