King Charles Plans USA Visit to Reconnect with Harry, Meghan, Archie and Lilibet

In a bid to mend family ties and build relationships with his grandchildren, King Charles is planning a visit to the United States to see Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been living in America since they left the Royal Family four years ago.

Since their move, Prince Harry and Meghan have rarely brought their children back to the UK, primarily due to security concerns and ongoing tensions with the royals.

This separation has resulted in limited interactions between the King and his grandchildren. Royal expert Jennie Bond has highlighted the monarch’s desire to bridge this gap and create lasting memories with Archie and Lilibet.

“Having grandchildren is a powerful tug on the heartstrings. Little people who are part of your bloodline and have had nothing to do with family quarrels and tensions,” Bond told OK! magazine.

“So I can imagine that the King very much wants the chance to get to know Archie and Lilibet and to create some memories for them.”

Bond also suggested that Archie and Lilibet could play a pivotal role in healing the royal rift.

She believes the young children might encourage King Charles and Prince Harry to “forgive, if not forget, the bitter rows of the past.”

Additionally, Bond expressed hope that Prince Harry would not follow Meghan’s example of remaining estranged from her family.

The King’s interactions with his grandchildren have been minimal; he has met Lilibet only once and Archie a handful of times.

According to royal author Tom Quinn, King Charles is actively exploring options for an official visit to the United States, which would include time with his youngest son and grandchildren.

Queen Camilla is reportedly supportive of these efforts, especially after King Charles sent a heartfelt gift and card to Lilibet for her third birthday earlier this month.

Quinn told The Mirror, “Charles has had discussions about an official visit to the United States at some time in the future, and there is no doubt if it goes ahead he would build in time to visit his youngest son and his grandchildren.”

Quinn further mentioned that King Charles has a history of making private visits to various countries, including an unpublicized trip to Transylvania to check on his rental properties.

This precedent suggests that a discreet, private visit to California to see Harry and the children is certainly within the realm of possibility.

“He is desperate to see them and hates the idea that Archie and Lily will not remember him as the warm, friendly grandfather he wants to be,” Quinn added.

As discussions continue and plans develop, the prospect of King Charles reconnecting with his grandchildren and mending familial bonds offers a hopeful glimpse into the future of the royal family.
