The icy tension between Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton just hit a new low—after the Duchess of Sussex delivered a brutally dismissive response to a reported peace offer from the Princess of Wales.
According to insiders who spoke to Heat Magazine, Meghan is not only refusing to apologize to Kate, but also believes that it is Kate who owes her an apology.
This standoff between the two royal women adds yet another layer to the already fractured relationship between the Sussexes and the rest of the royal family.
Sources close to Meghan say she has “far more important” things to focus on than entertaining Kate’s latest demands. And the Duchess of Sussex is said to be completely uninterested in smoothing things over under the Princess’s terms.
The possibility of Meghan travelling to the UK to speak to Kate is a long way off, a royal insider revealed. “She has far too many more important things to be getting on with, and thinks it’s Kate who should be extending the olive branch,” the source added.

Adding to the tension, the Princess of Wales allegedly insisted that multiple witnesses be present if any communication were to happen between them.
