Meghan Markle May Eventually Let Go of Prince Harry Following a Familiar Pattern
Meghan Markle could potentially distance herself from Prince Harry in the future, claims royal expert Hugo Vickers.
The royal author, known for his candid views on the British monarchy, has suggested that the Duchess of Sussex may ultimately “let go” of Harry, following a pattern similar to her past relationships.
Vickers, 72, shared his perspective with The Sun, commenting, “People usually act in character, and they usually act on form.”
Referring to Markle’s past choices, he stated that her history might foreshadow future decisions in her marriage.
“I hate to say it, but her form is that she dumped her father, she dumped her first husband, and she dumped her Canadian chef lover.”
The author didn’t stop there, adding that Meghan also distanced herself from former friend Jessica Mulroney, a close ally she had throughout her early years in the public eye.
“She then dumped the entire British Royal family,” Vickers noted, citing her eventual step back from royal duties alongside Harry.
With these high-profile relationships and associations now behind her, Vickers believes it’s only a matter of time before Harry might be next.
“Who is going to be next for the chop? I think inevitably, probably Prince Harry. There’ll come a time when she’ll think that she doesn’t need him.”

Though Vickers admits he doesn’t know precisely when this might happen, he envisions Meghan framing the situation to favor her narrative.
“She will probably somehow put him in the wrong, so that she can say that she’s a wronged woman, and he’s just behaved like all the others,” he speculated.
Reflecting on Harry’s current situation, Vickers expressed empathy for the Duke.
“I don’t think she ever admits that she is wrong about anything, but I feel very sorry for Prince Harry,” he said, adding that Harry’s position appears increasingly “difficult” given recent events.
While many see Vickers’ comments as bold predictions, they add fuel to the ongoing discourse about the Sussexes’ evolving relationship, as well as Meghan’s career path that now diverges significantly from Harry’s.
