Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Face Major Crisis as German Documentary Airs

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been hit with a new wave of criticism following the release of Harry – The Lost Prince, an explosive documentary aired on Germany’s ZDF network.

The film, which delves into the couple’s controversies, has drawn sharp remarks from insiders, including a veteran soldier and a Montecito neighbor. Both have voiced strong opinions about Harry and Meghan, fueling further scrutiny of their public image.

The documentary includes an interview with a soldier who criticized Harry’s openness about family disputes, describing it as “whinging” unbecoming of someone who served in the military.

Adding to the tension, a Montecito neighbor reportedly questioned Meghan Markle’s impact on the local community, claiming she is “not an asset.”

Royal commentator Duncan Larcombe weighed in on the documentary’s potential fallout while speaking with The Mirror. Larcombe described the film as a “major blow” to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who are already grappling with declining public approval.

He explained, “I think any documentary that continues the criticism of Harry and Meghan’s modus operandi is going to be damaging.”

Though the documentary aired in Germany and is unlikely to garner significant attention in the U.S., Larcombe emphasized its impact on the couple’s reputation. “It’s in Germany, so it’s probably not going to make a big storm over in the US,” he noted.

“But it’s still a major blow for a couple who have seen their popularity plummet like a stone falling in a well since they left the UK,” Larcombe added.

Since stepping back from royal duties in 2020, Harry and Meghan have faced constant media scrutiny. Their decision to relocate to California and speak openly about their grievances with the royal family has drawn mixed reactions.

Their popularity has notably declined in both the UK and the US, and documentaries like Harry – The Lost Prince only seem to amplify the backlash.

Critics argue that such portrayals could further erode trust in the couple’s public narratives, especially as they continue to champion causes like mental health and community service.

For Harry and Meghan, who have worked to establish themselves as influential figures beyond the royal family, this latest documentary represents yet another obstacle in their journey.

While the couple’s supporters may dismiss the documentary’s claims as biased, its existence adds to the growing list of challenges they face in maintaining their public image.

As the global spotlight remains fixed on Harry and Meghan, the fallout from Harry – The Lost Prince raises questions about how they will navigate this latest reputational setback.

Will they address the criticisms head-on or remain silent? For now, their strategy remains to be seen.
