Meghan Markle and Prince Harry in Discussions Over Archie and Lilibet’s Future Visits to the UK
In the midst of a continuing rift with the British royal family, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are facing sharp criticism for their decision not to bring their children, Archie and Lilibet, to the UK.
The couple has been accused of hindering their children’s relationship with King Charles, who has expressed a strong desire to meet his grandchildren.
Royal photographer Arthur Edwards has been vocal about his concerns regarding this family situation, arguing that Archie and Lilibet are missing out on crucial familial connections and experiences.
According to Edwards, the decision to keep the children away from the UK is denying them not only the chance to bond with their royal relatives but also the opportunity to experience important family traditions.
In an interview with The Sun, Edwards emphasized the emotional impact of this decision on both the children and the royal family. “One thing I feel sorry for is Prince Harry’s children.
They don’t have the summers at Balmoral with their cousins,” Edwards lamented. Balmoral, the royal family’s beloved estate in Scotland, is described by Edwards as an idyllic location with “rivers, mountains, wild deer”—a place of significant beauty and family heritage.
The photographer expressed frustration that Archie and Lilibet are missing out on these experiences and familial bonds.
He noted that by not bringing their children to the UK, Meghan and Harry are not only denying King Charles the chance to connect with his grandchildren but also preventing Archie and Lilibet from building relationships with their cousins, George, Charlotte, and Louis.
“They’re first cousins, and he doesn’t know them,” Edwards pointed out, underscoring the emotional and familial distance created by the current situation.
Edwards also speculated that Meghan Markle might be a central factor in this decision. He suggested that Meghan’s reluctance to return to the UK could be influencing Harry’s choices.

“I don’t think Harry makes the final decision on that,” Edwards said, adding, “I suspect he’s probably in discussions with Meghan. I don’t think she’s ever going to come here again.”
This situation has sparked considerable debate and concern among royal watchers and fans, who are hopeful for a resolution that will allow for reconciliation and strengthen family ties.
The ongoing tension raises questions about the future of Archie and Lilibet’s relationship with the British royal family and the impact of such decisions on the children’s connection with their extended family.
