Billy Ray Cyrus Dumps Firerose with $0 Settlement as They Finalized their Divorce

Billy Ray Cyrus and Firerose have officially finalized their divorce after three months of separation, marking the end of a brief but highly publicized marriage.

The couple, who tied the knot in a whirlwind romance, has now reached a settlement that leaves Firerose with nothing from their financial arrangements.

According to court documents obtained by Us Weekly on Monday, August 5, the settlement stipulates that Firerose, 37, will not receive any monetary compensation from the divorce.

Despite the lack of financial settlement, Cyrus, 62, has agreed to relinquish any claims to song credits and royalties from works created or published during their marriage.

This provision reflects a significant concession on Cyrus’s part, aimed at resolving the dispute amicably.

The couple’s divorce proceedings have been marked by acrimony, with Cyrus’s legal team expressing relief at the resolution of what they termed a “nightmare.”

In a statement released by Cyrus’s attorneys, Rose Palermo and Jason Talley, it was noted, “This past Friday the parties reached a settlement agreement at mediation to dissolve their 7-month marriage, and the Court declared the parties divorced this morning. Mr. Cyrus is relieved to put this nightmare behind him.”

The settlement follows an earlier legal move by Cyrus in June, when he filed for nullification of the marriage. In his petition, Cyrus cited irreconcilable differences and “inappropriate marital conduct” as reasons for the dissolution.

The legal documents also revealed that Firerose had previously changed her last name from “Hodges” to “Cyrus” prior to the mediation.

Cyrus’s representatives interpreted this name change as evidence that Firerose’s primary motivation for marrying him was to gain his surname, rather than for any genuine marital intentions.

The couple’s marriage had been brief, lasting only seven months, but it attracted considerable media attention.

Cyrus’s decision to file for nullification and the subsequent settlement negotiations have kept the spotlight on their relationship, adding to the drama surrounding their split.

With the divorce now finalized, both Cyrus and Firerose are expected to move forward separately, leaving behind the tumultuous end of their brief union.
