Kensington Palace Issues Significant Update Amid Kate Middleton Cancer Battle

Prince William, the Prince of Wales, resumed his public duties on Thursday following his wife Kate Middleton’s recent cancer diagnosis.

The future king visited a surplus food redistribution charity in Sunbury-on-Thames, marking his first official engagement since March 19. This return to duties comes after a brief hiatus spent with Kate and their children during the Easter holidays.

Documenting his visit on Instagram, Prince William shared captivating photos and a video providing an inside look at the charity’s impactful work.

In his caption, he lauded the efforts of Surplus to Supper, highlighting their role in redistributing 25,000 meals annually across Surrey and West London.

He praised their sustainability model, which prevents fresh food from going to waste by channeling it to support food banks, schools, care homes, shelters, clubs, and religious organizations within the local community.

Prince William expressed admiration for the dedication of Surplus to Supper’s volunteers, who prepare and distribute a staggering 10 tonnes of surplus food each week.

He expressed gratitude for the opportunity to join them in their endeavors, emphasizing the importance of their contributions to supporting vulnerable populations.

Notably, this engagement also marks Prince William’s first video appearance since Kate Middleton’s public announcement of her cancer diagnosis.
