A decade ago, on William’s 32nd birthday, the couple’s family had not yet expanded. However, Queen Elizabeth II bestowed a remarkable gift upon her grandson, an £8 million helicopter, as reported by HuffPost at the time.
This luxury aircraft, equipped with lavish leather seats and spacious enough for seven passengers, facilitated the family’s travels between engagements, ensuring comfort and convenience, especially when accompanied by Charlotte and Louis.
Prince William’s relationship with aviation has been significant beyond leisurely travel.
Following his departure from operational duties with the Armed Forces, William underwent retraining as an air ambulance pilot and commenced service with the East Anglian Air Ambulance in 2015.
His commitment to this vital role continued until his final shift in July 2017, as announced by Kensington Palace in January of that year.
