“In the last 20 or so years, these things vary region to region, town to town, but suffice to say the likes of Windsor have become ever more popular,” Quirk explained. “The consequence is now a lot of people are renting instead of buying. So the rental market is very strong. That property has probably doubled in terms of its rent value.”
For William and Kate, this means that their idyllic family home comes with an eye-watering monthly bill. Though the sum may not weigh heavily on the future King and Queen, the revelation has sparked debate about royal spending and their choice to step away from Buckingham Palace.
