Piers Morgan Speaks Out on Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s Visit to Nigeria

Former Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan has once again made headlines by reiterating his stance on the need to revoke the royal titles of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

Morgan’s comments came in response to reports of the couple’s upcoming trip to Nigeria, their first official international tour since stepping back from their royal roles in 2020.

According to a report from Vanity Fair, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are set to visit Nigeria in May for the Invictus Games, a trip confirmed by Nigeria’s Defence Headquarters.

Brigadier General Tukur Gusau, the military spokesperson of Nigeria, revealed that the couple will meet with service members and participate in various cultural activities during their stay.

However, Piers Morgan took to social media, formerly known as X, to express his disapproval of the trip, emphasizing that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are no longer working royals.

In his tweet, Morgan stated, “There’s nothing ‘official’ about it – they’re not working royals,” further asserting, “This is precisely why their titles must be stripped.”

The outspoken journalist’s remarks reflect his longstanding criticism of the couple’s post-royal activities and their continued use of their titles despite stepping back from official royal duties.

Morgan’s call to strip Prince Harry and Meghan Markle of their royal titles underscores the ongoing debate surrounding their status within the royal family and their perceived obligations to the monarchy.

As Prince Harry and Meghan Markle prepare for their visit to Nigeria and engage in charitable and cultural endeavors, their actions continue to be scrutinized by both supporters and critics alike.

The couple’s decision to embark on international tours and participate in philanthropic initiatives outside the traditional confines of royal duties raises questions about their roles and responsibilities within the royal family.

While the debate over their royal titles persists, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle remain committed to their advocacy work and charitable endeavors, seeking to make a positive impact on issues close to their hearts, both domestically and internationally.
