Meghan Markle and Prince Harry to Spend Valentine’s Day Apart Amid Professional Separation Rumors

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are reportedly planning to spend Valentine’s Day apart, fueling ongoing speculation about their professional and personal separation. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who recently made a high-profile appearance at the Invictus Games in Canada, now seem to be taking different paths as the event nears its conclusion.
On Tuesday, Meghan was seen flying back to California to reunite with her children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, while Prince Harry remained in Vancouver to oversee the final days of the Invictus Games.
According to a source who spoke to The Sun, this arrangement was always planned, and Meghan’s decision to leave early was not a sign of trouble.
“This was always planned. Meghan is going home to be with her children. She left the games in Düsseldorf early after five days, and she’s doing the same now,” the insider explained.
Despite this, the move has sparked renewed whispers about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex leading increasingly separate lives, both personally and professionally.
In recent months, Meghan and Harry have been at the center of separation rumors, with many royal experts suggesting that they are carving out individual career paths.
Royal biographer Ingrid Seward weighed in on the couple’s latest move, stating that Meghan’s presence at the Invictus Games felt unnecessary and overshadowed Harry’s leadership.
“I thought it was unnecessary of Meghan to interfere with what is essentially Harry’s baby,” she said. “She knows that. He really doesn’t need her.”

Seward also pointed out that when Harry first launched the Invictus Games in London, he did so in front of his father, stepmother, and brother—not Meghan. This has led some to believe that Harry’s growing independence from his wife could signal a shift in their relationship dynamic.
Before Meghan’s departure, the couple spent two days at a luxury ski resort in Whistler, where they were seen enjoying private moments away from the spotlight. However, their Valentine’s Day apart now raises questions about whether their time together in Canada was just a brief public display.
This comes after reports that Meghan is pursuing separate projects, including potential Hollywood collaborations and a rumored tell-all book deal, while Harry remains focused on his military and veteran initiatives.
Now left alone in Vancouver, Prince Harry is expected to attend the final competitions of the Invictus Games, which will officially conclude on February 16, 2025.
The Games, which Harry founded in 2014, have always been one of his most personal and passionate projects. Many royal commentators believe that he prefers to handle them without Meghan’s influence, as the event remains closely tied to his military past and personal identity.
As Meghan and Harry spend another significant moment apart, speculation will likely continue about the true state of their relationship. While their camp insists that this separation was pre-planned, their increasingly independent careers and individual public engagements suggest that their paths may be diverging more permanently.
With Meghan back in California and Harry staying behind to complete his duties in Canada, the world will be watching closely to see what’s next for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex—together or apart.
