Kate Middleton Sister Pippa Middleton’s Family Member Takes a Swipe at Meghan Markle

Meghan Markle has once again found herself at the center of royal controversy after a family member of Pippa Middleton publicly criticized her new Netflix show, With Love, Meghan. The unexpected dig has reignited tensions between the Duchess of Sussex and the extended royal circle.
According to GB News, the comments came from Vogue Williams, who has a direct connection to the royal family through her husband, Spencer Matthews. Spencer is the brother of James Matthews, who is married to Pippa Middleton—Princess Kate’s younger sister.
Vogue didn’t hold back on her podcast, My Therapist Ghosted Me, as she shared her candid opinions about Meghan’s lifestyle series. One particular moment in the show caught her attention, and she couldn’t resist commenting.
“I saw a bit where she was making her kids a rainbow platter of fruit,” Vogue remarked, highlighting a scene where Meghan prepared an aesthetically pleasing snack for Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
She then playfully mocked the effort, saying, “First of all, I thought I was doing well mixing Rice Krispies and Cheerios—you can have two cereals in one! And she’s there like… did you see the rainbow [platter]?”
While Vogue admitted she personally liked the idea, she questioned its practicality. “I personally like that, but who does that?” she said, implying that Meghan’s parenting style might be more performative than realistic.
Her co-host, comedian Joanne McNally, then chimed in with her own criticism—not of Meghan’s fruit platter, but of her fashion choices. “I can’t bear a jumper round the shoulders,” Joanne said, likely referencing Meghan’s signature preppy look.
Vogue agreed, laughing as she responded, “Yeah, yeah—it’s disgusting.” Their lighthearted banter may have been intended as casual commentary, but given the history of tensions between the Sussexes and the Waleses, it hasn’t gone unnoticed.

The comments come at a particularly sensitive time, as Prince William and Princess Kate reportedly remain distant from Meghan and Prince Harry. The ongoing rift has shown no signs of healing, with both couples leading very separate lives.
While Vogue Williams is not a direct member of the royal family, her remarks carry weight due to her close ties to Pippa Middleton and, by extension, the Princess of Wales. Some royal watchers see this as yet another example of how Meghan remains an outsider in royal circles.
The Duchess of Sussex’s new Netflix series has already sparked a mix of praise and criticism. While supporters applaud her for sharing personal stories and lifestyle tips, critics argue that it feels overly curated and disconnected from reality.
This isn’t the first time Meghan has faced scrutiny over her portrayal of motherhood and family life. Many of her public appearances and interviews have been dissected for what some perceive as an overly polished image.
With Meghan and Harry still estranged from the rest of the royal family, Vogue’s remarks only add fuel to the fire. Whether or not the Duchess will respond remains to be seen, but one thing is certain—royal drama is far from over.
