The Princess of Wales has been absent from public life since announcing her cancer diagnosis in March. Eager to make a balcony appearance on June 15 for the traditional London event, Kate’s enthusiasm is palpable.
However, according to insiders, King Charles and Prince William are not in favor of this idea.
An insider revealed, “William and the King won’t allow Catherine to return to royal duties until her medical team gives her the all-clear as she continues her treatment.”
The source added, “King Charles and William don’t want Kate to take any risks. They are taking all necessary steps to ensure that the mother-of-three makes a smooth recovery.”
While Kate is grateful for the time spent focusing on her health, she is reportedly very excited about the possibility of attending the event she and her children have eagerly awaited for almost a year.
Buckingham Palace has yet to reveal specific details about this year’s Trooping the Colour.
This annual ceremonial event, held at Horse Guards Parade in London, celebrates the official birthday of the British sovereign and is also known as the Sovereign’s Birthday Parade.
