Meghan Markle’s Explosive Pattern of Broken Relationships Revealed

Meghan Markle’s falling out with Vogue editor Edward Enninful has ignited a wave of criticism — and now a prominent royal biographer claims this latest spat is part of a much darker, recurring pattern in the Duchess of Sussex’s life.
Author and royal expert Hugo Vickers didn’t hold back in his recent interview with The Sun, saying Meghan’s alleged reaction to not getting a Vogue cover is “nothing new.” Instead, he claims this is simply Meghan being Meghan — and that her personal and professional relationships often seem to end in fallout.
“None of this surprises me at all,” Vickers said, referencing Meghan’s frustration when Enninful couldn’t offer her the prominent cover spot she allegedly expected. “When things don’t go her way, she just overreacts.”
According to insiders, Meghan had her heart set on a Vogue cover — or at least a digital one — and was disappointed when Enninful could only offer a prominent feature inside the magazine. She reportedly rejected the proposal, causing a rift between the two.
Vickers claims that this clash with Enninful is part of a larger trend. “Clearly in this case with Edward Enninful, she has made something of an enemy,” he said. “And it seems to happen all the time.”
He then went on to list a string of people Meghan has allegedly “cut off” over the years — a list that, according to him, paints a troubling picture. “Her father, who was very good to her when she was growing up. Her first husband — dumped. Her Canadian chef boyfriend — gone. Jessica Mulroney, her best friend — also out. And then the entire British Royal Family.”
Vickers also criticized her apparent unwillingness to collaborate or compromise, particularly with highly respected professionals like Enninful. “She should listen to somebody like Edward Enninful,” he urged. “He’s a very highly qualified editor, and he knows what he’s doing, running a very important magazine.”

The royal expert believes Meghan’s inability to maintain long-term relationships — whether with family, friends, or industry peers — is contributing to a damaging public narrative. “She is just so incredibly difficult, and that is the theme, and that is the narrative now,” Vickers said. “And I suspect that will go on and probably get worse.”
He even extended his concern to the Duke and Duchess’s children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. “I really feel sorry for those children,” he said. “I wonder what they’re going to think when they grow up and realise how they’re being used in these things as well.”
While Meghan’s supporters argue she is simply setting healthy boundaries and refusing to tolerate toxicity, critics see a woman who consistently isolates herself by burning bridges — even with those once considered close allies.
The tension with Enninful, who worked with Meghan on the historic 2019 “Forces for Change” issue of British Vogue, may be particularly damaging. At the time, their partnership was hailed as groundbreaking. But now, the very editor who once helped elevate Meghan’s global platform is reportedly no longer part of her circle.
Vickers’ warnings are clear: Meghan’s reputation in elite circles — whether royal, media, or fashion — may be deteriorating faster than she realizes. And if this “pattern” continues, the Duchess may find herself increasingly sidelined from the very spaces she once hoped to dominate.
With new projects reportedly on the horizon, including a lifestyle brand and potential memoir, Meghan’s ability to foster and maintain relationships could prove critical. But for now, many are asking: Has Meghan Markle burned one too many bridges.
